I Feel It Approaching.....

Failure......
I feel it approaching out of the darkness, out of the staleness...
I see it first just as small as the light from a fire fly...
It is a silent threat, not heard only felt...
Like the storm you see quietly but forcefully dancing on the horizon...

As it grows in its magnificence,my apprehensive heart beats against my chest...
I feel it so close but I keep praying that it will stay far away...
My heart pounds wildly until my breath escapes me...
My life my existence has been nothing but a great paradox leading to this moment in time...

There are so many, their voices screaming in my mind...
A thousand thoughts inside only one...
How do I help them all, what if I allow one to fall...
Will it swallow them into the parade of lightning into the abyss of blinding light...
Will I too fall for not saving them...

I always knew it was there safely waiting on the horizon...
But I never felt this light would catch me this fast...
I never thought the rain would fall upon my skin...
But now here it is...Will I have the strength,to make it go away...
Only the agony of waiting for the future will tell.......

Just remember never let it come so close...
That you can feel the mist upon you...
Because the second you don't realize the other end of the story...
That is the second it grabs a hold on you........

God Bless You......

G reat are the works you
produce, bringing The Holy
Spirit to all mankind.

O nly you have the talent to
portray this message so
clear.

D uring trials and
tribulations let your
light shine bright.

B less your many
opportunities.

L ook towards each day for
a new beginning.

E ach time I pray, your name
will forever remain on my
lips.

S tay, as you continue to
spread the truth.

S et your goals high.

Y ou have the power to do
anything.

O nly love can break down
barriers.

U make me smile with my
heart!

Key To My Heart........

I had closed the door upon my heart,
And wouldn't let anyone in,
I had trusted and loved only to be hurt,
But, that would never happen again..

I had locked the door and tossed the key,
As hard, and as far as I could,
Love would never enter there again,
My heart was closed for good....

Then you came into my life,
And made me change my mind,
Just when I thought that tiny key,
Was impossible to find......

That's when you held out your hand,
And proved to me I was wrong,
Inside your palm was the key to my heart......

Mother's Love Is Always True..........

A mother's love is always true,
A mother's love shall be with you

A mother's love is always there,
A mother's love shall always care

A mother's love is what you need,
A mother's love shall always lead

A mother's love is like you and me,
A mother's love is what I see

My Real Best Friend........

Who could I turn to,
Next to God, but you,
My Mother who loves me,
With that Mothers love, so True.

My Mother, who is there,
When I need a friend.
Always ready and able,
For my problems, to tend.

My Mother, who is there,
When I'm down, sick or crying,
Even when my life's path,
Full of knots, needs untying.

What could I say,
But God bless you, my Mother,
True friends, you and God,
There are not, many others.

What back, could I give,
But just words, I love You
And what back might I ask,
Knowing you love me too.

Thank you, Dear Mother,
My one, real best friend,
In thanks, I thank God,
And for you, prayers I send.

She's A WO-MAN...

Made to birth life's inventions.
She trains' Presidents, queens and kings
Though accused of society's wrongs going'ons',
She's still WOMAN.

She is most fame! without her life cease to exist;
babies won't cry, nor sigh.
To beauty a plant made with a slant,
A flower blooming life's 'coons.
She will soon die,
but before she's gone another is born.
She's Spring fresh air,
the snow-white calm, the quiet midnight light.
The moon, the moon...

I heard her cry, "the moon, the moon,
The Moon I AM. I give light to the night."
Her womb fulfills the urge of the sperms' spill.
Her womb gives love to the night...
Her womb hugs the night.
Her moon covers her womb.

She taught many generations
not to abuse the pill, but to be for real.
Seniors and youth alike are cradled by her sight.
Her bosom holds your food;
her blood feeds you before you taste earth.
Might! Height! makes her visible and indispensable.
She is the KITE: just k-Keeping, i-It e-Excitingly right.
Yes, she flies! Sometimes she cries!
But, she never forgets to show her beauty with a smile...
Who is she? A man with a womb!.
She's a WO-man...

He Gave Me Your Love....

If you counted all the stars,
And totaled them you see..
They couldn't equal all the love,
That's deep inside of me....

And if you count the grains of sand,
On deserts far and wide..
You'd find the number couldn't match,
The love I feel inside....

And if you lived a million years,
You'd never, ever see..
A love as strong as mine, my dear,
A love that's meant to be....

I'll count my blessing every day,
And thank the Lord above..
For giving me a precious gift,
He gave to me your love....

My One True Light........

You are the one true light in my life,
Though I never tell you enough.
You are always there for me,
Even when times get tough.

You are my sun, my moon,
and my morning star,
Shining down on me,
To bring comfort from afar.

When my day is gloomy,
And I seek inner peace,
I remember your smile
And all my troubles cease.

You are the love of my life,
My heart and my soul.
My beloved wife,
To have and to hold.

I could search the world over
With all of my might,
But find none that compare,
To you, my one true light.

To Have A Brother Like You.........

Someone who will understand,
Who knows the way I feel,
In every situation,
His concern is very real..

Someone who has walked my ways,
Who knows my every need,
Times when he would see me cry,
His heart would nearly bleed...

Everyone should have a brother,
Just the way I do,
Richly blessed is what I am,
To have a brother like you.........

You'll Know It In Your Heart.............

Here's to my brother,
Remember every day,
No matter what I've said,
Here's what I'd like to say,
I will always love you dear Brother......

I just want to let you know,
You mean the world to me,
Only a heart as dear as yours,
Would give so unselfishly....

The many things you've done,
All the times that you were there,
Help me know deep down inside,
How much you really care....

Even though I might not say,
I appreciate all you do,
Richly blessed is how I feel,
Having a brother just like you....

I'll be with you till the end,
When no one else is around,
I will be your friend.
I love my brother....
and I always will..

I'm proud that u are my brother,
that's how I feel,
And someday when we're far away,
And the miles keep us apart,
I'm gonna whisper,
I love my brother....
And you'll know it in your heart.............

No One Alone Can Simply Be............

Society is you and me.
Everyone's a piece of they.
Very much of what we do
Ends up as words that others say.
No I exists except as we,
Though he and she are part of you;
Each pronoun's only partly true,
Each life becomes another's way.
No one alone can simply be.

Our Friendship Is One-In-A-Million...........

The day I met you,
I found a friend..
And a friendship that,
I pray will never end..

Your smile - so sweet,
And so bright ,
Kept me going,
When day was as dark as night..

You never ever judged me,
You understood my sorrow.
Then you told me it needn't be that way,
And gave me the hope of a better tomorrow..

You were always there for me,
I knew I could count on you.
You gave me advice and encouragement,
Whenever I didn't know what to do..

You helped me learn to love myself,
You made life seem so good.
You said I can do anything I put my mind to,
And suddenly I knew I could..

There were times when we didn't see eye to eye,
And there were days when both of us cried.
But even so we made it through,
Our friendship hasn't yet died..

Circumstances have pulled us apart,
We are separated by many miles.
Truly, the only thing that keeps me going,
Is my treasured memory of your smile..

This friendship we share,
Is so precious to me,
I hope it grows and flourishes,
And lasts unto infinity..

You are so extra-special to me,
And so this to you I really must tell,
You are my one true friend,
My Guardian Angel..

Our friendship is one-in-a-million,
So let's hold on to it and each other.
We cannot let this chance of pure bliss fly away,
For there will never be another..........

For my friends who are always so close to me and helped me in a lot of things...

Thank you for always being there,
To listen and understand me.
I appreciate all you did for me,
And all you still do.

Thank you for making me feel whole again,
For putting my pieces back together.
I appreciate you putting my life back together,
You saved my life.

You may not understand,
Why I do what I do.
But you never criticized,
You just helped my through.

I knew I could come to you when I was down,
'cause I knew you'd always be there
to pick me back up
and say everything will be ok....Thank you my dear friend....

Meet Me....

Take my hand and walk with me
to a place where lovers go,
where kisses are like raindrops,
and soothing rivers flow.

Inhale the perfumed sweetness
of the roses as we near,
one step closer to paradise,
an oasis crystal clear.

The sun will burn much brighter
in skies of the bluest blue,
and stars that shine at midnight
will shine for me and you.

We'll walk along the shore-line
the waves crashing all about,
cleansing the uncertainty,
removing all the doubt.

My words will sound much sweeter
when I whisper in your ear,
I'll always be in heaven
as long as you are near.

Don't second guess the reasons,
look beyond, and look above,
then close your eyes and meet me
in that special place called love.

Jaise Mujh Ko Kabhi Jana Hi Nahi Tha...........

Dushman mere khusiyon ka zamana nahi tha,
Kisi ne bhi kabhi apna to jana nahi tha..

Kya karti akeli main saja kar koi mehfil,
Jab kisi ko ana hi nahi tha..

Dil ne to bohat chaha magar kis tarah jeeti,
Jeeney k liye koi bahana hi nahi tha..

Mud mud k dekhti rahi main umar bhar magar,
Koi aaya nahi, kyonki kisi ko to aana hi nahi tha..

Ek rasta bacha tha wo bhi loutne ka tha,
Jati main kahan koi thikana hi nahi tha..

Ab jhuk k mere lash ko jhinjhor rahe ho,
Jaise mujh ko kabhi jana hi nahi tha...........

The Ready Cash..........

Yesterday is a cancelled cheque & tomorrow is a mere promissory note. But today is ready cash and we must use it wisely and profitably. If we are certain today and take care of our present,we will find tomorrow taking care of itself splendidly. We can face tomorrow with interest & enjoyment.......

Anything we want,we certainly can have learnt to like:"what we are doing"..then we will soon find that we are not only achieving, but also enjoying at the same time...

Perform beyond expectation.Always strive for something more than what is expected. It is that extra which we contribute makes us an extraordinary person and always in demand..

With the right attitude and approach,we can turn work in to an interesting game and play to win.Our success as also happiness depends more on our attitude than on our aptitude. We will find life interesting, enjoyable and meaningful.

After all in the last,i can only say:
"Yesterday is gone,Tomorrow is uncertain,So we have to deal with today which is in our hand.....Present-The Ready Cash..."

Where is He??

He is in me,
He is in you,
He is in evrything,
He is in view..

He is in rock,
He is in sea,
He is in river,
He is in bee..

To reach in Heaven,
He is the only key,
But everyone astonished,
Where is he.......
Chhoti si ek ladki hai,
Sabko pyari lagti hai..

Chand se bhi oh pyari hai,
Chandni jaisi lagti hai..

Jab oh batein karti hai,
Phool barash ne lagte hain..

Jab oh hansti gaati hai,
Sab ka dil khil uth ta hai....

Hum To Safar Karte Hain........

Yun to zindegi sabhi ji lete hain,
Jahar zindegi ke hans kar pee lete hain,
Ek hum hain na ji sake aur na marte hain,
Har din mout tera intazar hum karte hain..

Uth gaya biswas abb ish sansar se,
Tut gaya apna bharam ish beraham pyar se,
Zindegi dekh tujhe hum kitna pyar karte hain,
Mout ki antim hichki tak intazar karte hain..

Gume pyar ka koi ilaz nahi,
Bewafa yaar ka koi humraaz nehi,
Mayus dil par gum hi raaz karte hain,
Khus raho yaar, jahan raho hum to safar karte hain........

FRIENDSHIP

I think the most precious thing in life after family is Friends.
All other relationships are based on self-interests, the moment interests clash, all love, affection vanish.....But its not so in friendship.

Friendship is not related to age, sex, status, terms or conditions. No logic, no motive, no plans, no ends. Just an acceptance of, an admiration for, a best wish for other humanbeing , plant or pet .

I firmly believe that - One can not be a good parent, a good child, a good spouse, a good worker or manager, a good teacher, a good pupil..name any relationship, without being able to be first a Good Friend !!

In life nothing is more joy than company of good friends and nothing is more strength than true friends on your side............

LOVE

I think Love is the most misused / confused concept of our times.

Love is not "Getting". Love is "Giving".

When it is ONLY getting , wanting , demanding , dictating , it is lust not love.

Love is focussed on "giving" .
Giving time, empathy, encouragement,attention, ears...
Love is Freedom , not a jail.

True Love is giving , empowering and enabling.

It is that invisible thread which brings a bird from far & high skies , right back to its little nest.

Crisis or Creation

I felt very happy when I found these lovely mosaic background in floors.I think this is the essence of managing contradictions in life. The silver and grey tiles ,rather than trying to change each other, they accept each other, and beautiful pattern emerges.

If you would observe, all of us are more busy imposing our religion and principles on others..Rather than following it fully ourselves.

We deny individuality and freedom of choice to those we love most!
If Husband/wife try to be the best of husband/wife,rather than preaching wife/husband about her/his duties, and if parents/children try more to be right parents/children themselves instead of straining to make best out of their kids/parents ,many a conflicts wouldn't arise.

DIFFERENCES are natural.
It is the way we resolve them, that makes them :Crisis or Creation .

Is Jahan Se Us Jahan Tak..........

Andhiyon mein aur chale,
Lad khadate ab kahan tak,
Ek awara dhuein se ,
Ude aur kis asman tak..

Gum ki gehri khaiyon mein,
Aur bahenge kahan tak,
Hath mein angaar rakhenge,
Aur kitne Imtihan tak......

Dhoondhe silsile dilon ka,
Aur kitne karwan tak,
Chal chalen ab to safar par,
Is jahan se us jahan tak..........

Loneliness Vs Happiness

Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than just the feeling of wanting company.
Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any form of meaningful human contact.Lonely people often experience a subjective sense of inner emptiness or hollowness, with feelings of separation or isolation from the world.

When God said: "I was hungry and you fed me," he didn't mean only the hunger for bread and for food;he also meant the hunger to be loved.God himself experienced this loneliness. He came amongst his own and his own received him not,and it hurt him then and it has kept on hurting him.The same hunger, the same loneliness, the same having no one to be accepted by and to be loved and wanted by.Every human being in that case resembles God in his/her loneliness;and that is the hardest part, that's the real hunger......
Each person was to himself one alone. One oneness,a unit in a society, but always afraid, always alone.."If i should scream,if i should call for help, would anyone hear...would it even matter?" its the thinking of a lonely person..............

On the contrary, Happiness is an emotional or affective state that is characterized by feelings of enjoyment and satisfaction. As a state and a subject, it has been pursued and commented on extensively throughout world history.
This reflects the universal importance that humans place on happiness.States associated with happiness include well-being, delight, health, safety, contentment,
and love. Contrasting states include suffering, depression, grief, anxiety, and pain.
Happiness is often associated with the presence of favorable circumstances such as a supportive family life, a loving marriage, and economic stability.Unfavorable circumstances, such as abusive relationships, accidents, loss of employment, and conflicts, diminish the amount of happiness a person experiences. However, according to several ancient and modern thinkers, happiness is influenced by the attitude and perspective taken on such circumstances.

Happiness,as it seems to me,consists of two things:first, in being where you belong, and second -- and best -- in comfortably going through everyday life...
People spend a lifetime searching for happiness;looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to
search was within........
When one door of happiness closes, another opens;but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us........

I don't know what our destiny will be,but one thing I do know: the only ones among us who will be really happy are those who have fought and found how to serve.......

Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch or that which others do for us which makes us happy;it is that which we think and feel and do,first for the other fellow and then for ourselves.............

Butterfly.....(Nice story)

One day while walking through the woods, a man found a cocoon. He decided to take the cocoon home to watch its transformation into a beautiful butterfly. He gently placed it on his table and watched it for several days.
One day, a small opening appeared and the cocoon started to move.
The old man sat and watched it for several hours as it struggled and struggled to force its body from the cocoon.

Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and was unable to go any farther. Finally, the old man feeling sorry for the cocooned butterfly, decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then easily emerged.

But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would only cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.

And we could never fly.

Hope Our Friendship Lasts Forever.........

Our friendship has developed
In a way that is unique.
To think we crossed an ocean
Yet no words we had to speak.
Just a screen and keyboard
To get a message through
And from the whole wide world,
I'm so glad that I met you.

We've shared so many secrets
Carried each others loads,
You are always there to turn to
When I travel a bumpy road.

Sometimes when I'm feeling blue
It's as if you link to my mind
For going into my mail box
An e-mail from you I'll find.

Sometimes a card of friendship
Maybe a joke or two,
Whatever arrived is special
Because it was sent by you.

So though we're an ocean apart
Our hearts are together as one,
And hope our friendship lasts
Through all the years to come. . .

May Our Friendship Continue to Grow..........

I had some free time, so what did I do?
I checked the computer to see if I'd heard from you.

I used to walk out to a box to retrieve mail,
But I'd rather get it instantly than wait on the snail...

Checking my email is always fun,
I usually get a joke or greeting from someone....

I feel so connected because on the other end,
I know I've discovered a newfound friend......

When I've had a hard day and need to share,
Here I can find a friend who will listen and care.......

And to this friend I hope I let know,
That I am always there for them also.........

Isn't it a strange kind of bond we form?
It isn't exactly like the "norm"...................

But where is it written, face to face we have to be,
For you to be a very good friend to me?

That little joke, or note, or even just a simple "Hi",
Could be like a ray of sunshine from the sky...............

So, my online-pals, this is dedicated to you,
For all the smiles you have made anew........

May our friendship continue to grow,
and the warmth we feel continue to flow...........

Best Moments In Life......

Read somewhere and like to share it as these r the true moments of our lives....

To fall in love.
To have a child.
To laugh until it hurts your stomach.
To find mails by the thousands when you return of the vacations.
To manage for a vacation at some pretty place.
To listen to your favorite song in the radio.
To go to bed and to listen while it rains out.
To leave the shower and find that the towel is warm.
To clear your last exam.
To receive a call from someone, you don't see a lot, but you want to.
A good conversation.
To find money in a pant that you didn't use last year.
To laugh at oneself. Calls at the midnight that last for hours.
To laugh without reasons. To hear accidentally that somebody says something good of you.
To wake up and realize it is still possible to sleep a couple of hours.
To hear a song that makes you remember a special reason.
To make new friends.
To be part of a team.
The first kiss.
To feel butterflies in the stomach every time that you see that person.
To pass a while with your best friends. To see people that you like, feeling happy.
To use a sweater of the person that you like. See an old friend again and to feel that the things didn't change.
To look at an evening.
To have somebody that tells you that he/she loves you

Chand Nikla Hai Waise hi,Andhere Badal Gaye Hain.............

Is raat ki tanhaiyon ke,
Sab rang badal gaye hain,
Chand nikla hai waise hi,
Andhere badal gaye hain.....

Jinke bharose thi khusiyan,
Wo badal gaye hain,
Manzile to abb bhi wahi hain,
Kuch rastay badal gaye hain......

Jinpe kiya tha bharosa humne,
Wo dost bichad gaye hain,
Dekhe the kabhi jo humne,
Wo khwab badal gaye hain...........

Na badle kabhi hum,
Na badle humare khayalat,
bas is tute dil ke sare
Jazbat badal gaye hain................

Bas rona hai yahi,
Aaj kaal sab log badal gaye hain................

Tanhai hai mujh se,main tanhai se nahi...........

Waise toh mujhe jindagi se koi gam nahi,
Tanha hoon main magar ye,
Tanhai hai mujh se, main tanhai se nahi....

Rashte kathin hai magar,
Safar namumkin toh nahi,
Manzil nigaahon main basi hai lekin,
Dagar ka pata hi nahi................

San-sani hai fizao par,
Koi tufaan bhi nahi,
Ek aahat thi unki,
Hui koi dastak bhi nahi.......

Ladkharaatein hue kadamon se chal kar,
Dekha maine jo palat kar,
Wo yaadein thi unki,
Par lagaa-esa ki kahi woh aaye toh nahi.......

Nahi woh aaye toh nahi,
Magar unke ane ki woh aash kami bhi nahi,
Es dil-e-dariya se maine,
Woh sulagte hue aahsaas mitaaye bhi nahi...........

Berukha hai kyon jajba,
Yahan koi ruswai hi nahi,
Ye toh the iss dil ke isharein,
Warna, who toh yahan kabhi aaye hi nahi..........

Palkein unko nihaar payi hi nahi,
Shabnam kabhi aansu barsai hi nahi,
Nazarein un-se kabhi mil payi hi nahi,
Bahein unko agosh main kabhi le payi hi nahi........

Ki ye toh tha ek hansin khwab mera,
Jisse kabhi jindagi ban payi hi nahi,
Jevan sach hai par,
Khwab sacchai toh nahi.........

Maana maine bikheri khwahishon ki sez,
Par yaha beraham bewafai toh nahi,
Shayad tabhi mujhe zindegi se koi gum bhi nahi..........

Tanha hoon main magar ye,
Tanhai hai mujh se,
Main tanhai se toh nahi................................

Life is a do-it-yourself project...........

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!

What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

Sabse kehte hain bhaiya ishq na karna koi,Ishq na karna koi......

Written By a friend....

Koi baitha tha tanha ek andhere kone mein...
Ek ajeeb si dastan thi uske rone mein...

Maine usse pucha kyo bhai ishq ka hai sataya??:
Usne kaha tumko kisne bataya!!!!

Maine kaha Ishq or mushq chupaye nai chupte....
Ankho se ye ansoo roke nai rukte...

Usne kaha tumko hai kaise is bat ka ehsas??
Maine kaha kissi kissi ko hoti hai ye bimari khas...

Unhi mein se mai bhi hun ek halat ka mara----
Jiska na hai koi apna na hai koi sahara...

Fir bhi jiye ja raha hun...
Gam ka jo pyala mila hai use piye ja raha hun??

Usne kaha ab m kya karu??? jiyun ya maru...
Maine kaha ab kaunsa too zinda hai bina pankho ka parinda hai...

Mar kar in wadiyon mein kahin gum ho jayega....
Raha zinda to auron ko bhi is bimari se bachayega::

Is ishq mein hamne apni chain or khushi hai khoi,
Sabse kehte hain bhaiya ishq na karna koi,Ishq na karna koi......

And I am on my way to answer the Last Call.........................

When everything went wrong,
Days dusty.....
Nights were freezing,
Young & Nasty.........

When it was black,
Black and long........
Situation demanded something more,
Deciding & Strong....

It was me,
Me waiting so long,
But situetion never changed.....
Yet i was strong....

A day came,
A day with no end,
No answer to life,
And nothing to pretend.....

There's a sudden looking better,
Warmth growing tall,
Soothing air on my shoulders,
And I am on my way to answer the Last Call.........................

To my Favourite Teacher :- Mr. Sibram Mishra(Sibram Sir).....

There are no words to match my gratitude,
However much like Shakespeare I might write.
Above all else, you've shaped my attitude.
Nurturing me with discipline and light.....

Knowledge is the least of what you taught,
Yet that least at least prepared my head.
Out of your heart I've learned the things I ought.
Underscoring words you never said........

A group of friends.....

Friends in high school are forever young.
Unchanged, they're where you always will belong.

The crowd is never gone, the pleasure stays,
The music of the moment always plays.

The time remains a field of wistful grace,
To which you may return from anyplace.

Of course, you may still know them later on
When you are someone else and years have run;

And you may love them dearly, and they you,
But time must make their friendship something new.

Meanwhile, flourishing within your heart
There is a whole, of which you were a part.

A group of friends, one in love and pain,
In whom your longing comes alive again.

We Have Never Met...............

Although you are a friend of mine,
and letters we exchange,
I wouldn't know you on the street,
and doesn't that seem strange?

You hold a place within my life,
unusual and unique;
We share ideals and special dreams,
and still, we do not speak.

I picture what I think you are,
perhaps you picture me.
An intriguing game for both of us
for someone we can't see.

So for this friendship we possess,
we owe this mail a debt,
Perhaps the charm lies in the fact
that we have never met.

Do you know you touch my heart........

Do you know how I feel when you touch my heart.
Can you hear me cry inside at your silent embrace..
Do you see the fear I keep hidden away...
Can you feel the pain I never show....

I can't help but smile when you touch my heart.....
You can't know the warmth it brings me......
I can't bring myself to share the love.......
You can't see the hope in my soul........

If only I too touch your heart.........
I only try to ease your fears..........
If only I could help as much...........
I only wish I were as true.............

Do you know you touch my heart.............
I love you being in my life...............
Do you feel the way I do..................
Do you know you touch my heart...............

A friend........

A friend is a tissue when you can't stop crying,
A friend is a shoulder when you feel like dying,
A friend is always there to listen when you have something to say,
A friend is weak when you just need a day,
A friend is a crutch when you have a broken heart,
A friend is a glue when some thing falls a part,
A friend is a phone call when you can't leave your home,
A friend is a when you feel all alone,
A friend is a wing if you want to fly,
A friend is one who understands without knowing why,
A friend is an ear for a secret to tell,
And at last.......
A friend is a love, happiness, care and joy that can never let go in one's life.........

A gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses.......

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy."

The man was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, "Don't you know, when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Daddy."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses... from our children, family members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold, more precious than this.

Listen to the whisper ... or wait for the brick! ..........

A young and successful executive was traveling down a street, going a bit too fast in his new car. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the car's side door! He slammed on the brakes and drove the car back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car, shouting, "What was that all about and who are you?
Just what the heck are you doing?
That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.
Why did you do it?"
The young boy was apologetic. "Please mister ... please, I'm sorry... I didn't know what else to do," he pleaded.
"I threw the brick because no one else would stop..."
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.
"It's my brother," he said.
"He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.

"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.

Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the little boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the car. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention! God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us.

It's our choice: Listen to the whisper ... or wait for the brick!

The Making Of A Mother..........

This story i read somewhere, and it touched my heart...so im writing it here in blogs...its really a very nice story....

By the time the Lord made mothers, He was into the sixth day working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"

And the Lord answered and said, "Have you read the spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not elastic; have 200 movable parts, all replaceable; run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up; have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart; and have six pairs of hands."

The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. "Six pairs of hands! No way!" said the Angel.

The Lord replied, "Oh, it's not the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have!" "And that's on the standard model?" the Angel asked.

The Lord nodded in agreement, "Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head are to see what she needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and loves him or her without even saying a single word."

The Angel tried to stop the Lord "This is too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish."
"But I can't!" The Lord protested, "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand in the shower."

The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?" asked the Angel. The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate."

The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like You have a leak with this model. I told You that You were trying to put too much into this one.""That's not a leak." the Lord objected. "That's a tear!" "What's the tear for?" the Angel asked.
The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."

The Angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything for this one. You even created the tear!"The Lord looked at the Angel and smiled and said, "I'm afraid you are wrong again. I created the woman, but she created the tear!"

Within Every Soul There Is A Rose.......

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.
He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.
So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.
We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.
Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.
This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

Many Moons By James Thurber(very nice one)...

Once upon a time, in a kingdom by the sea, there lived a little princess named Lenore. She was ten years old, going on eleven. One day Lenore fell ill of a surfeit of raspberry tarts and took to her bed. The Royal Physician came to see her and took her temperature and felt her pulse and made her stick out her tongue. The Royal Physician was worried. He sent for the king, Lenore's father, and the king came to see her.

"I will get you anything your heart desires," the king said. "Is there anything your heart desires?" "Yes," said the princess. "I want the moon, if I can have the moon, I will be well again."

Now the king had a great many wise men who always got for him anything he wanted so he told his daughter that she could have the moon. Then he went to the throne room and pulled a bell cord, three long pulls and a short pull, and presently the Lord High Chamberlain came into the room.

The Lord High Chamberlain was a large, fat man who wore thick glasses which made his eyes seem twice as big as they really were. This made the Lord High Chamberlain seem twice as wise as he really was.
"I want the moon," said the king. "Princess Lenore wants the moon. If she can have the moon, she will get well again."
"The moon?" exclaimed the Lord High Chamberlain, his eyes widening. This made him look four times as wise as he really was.
"Yes, the moon," said the king. "M-o-o-n, moon. Get it tonight, tomorrow at the latest."

The Lord High Chamberlain wiped his forehead with a handkerchief and then blew his nose loudly. "I have got a great many things for you in my time, your majesty," he said. "It just happens that I have with me a list of the things I have got for you in my time." He pulled a long scroll of parchment out of his pocket. "Let me see, now." he glanced at the list, frowning. "I have got ivory, apes, and peacocks, rubies, opals, and emeralds, black orchids, pink elephants, and blue poodles, gold bugs, scarabs, and flies in amber, hummingbirds' tongues, angels' feathers, and unicorns' horns, giants, midgets, and mermaids, frankincense, ambergris, and myrrh, troubadors, minstrels, and dancing women,a pound of butter, two dozen eggs, and a sack of sugar - sorry, my wife wrote that in there."
"I don't remember any blue poodles," said the king."It says blue poodles right here on the list, and they are checked off with a little check mark," said the Lord High Chamberlain. "so there must have been blue poodles. You just forgot."
"Never mind the poodles," said the king. "What I want now is the moon." "I have sent as far Samarkand and Araby and Zanzibar to get things for you, your majesty," said the Lord High Chamberlain.
"But the moon is out of the question. It is 35,000 miles away and it is bigger than the room the princess lies in. Furthermore, it is made of molten copper. I cannot get the moon for you. Blue poodles, yes; the moon, no.

"The king flew into a rage and told the Lord High Chamberlain to leave the room and to send the Royal Wizard to the throne room.
The Royal Wizard was a little, thin man with a long face. He wore a high red peaked hat coverted with silver stars, and a long blue robe covered with golden owls. His face grew very pale when the king told him that he wanted the moon for his little daughter, and that he expected the Royal Wizard to get it.
"I have worked a great deal of magic for you in my time, your majesty," said the Royal Wizard. "As a matter of fact, I just happen to have in my pocket a list of the wizardries I have performed for you." He drew a paper from a deep pocket of his robe. "It begins: `Dear Royal Wizard: I am returning herewith the so-called philosopher's stone which you claimed-' No, that isn't it." The royal wizard brought a long scroll of parchment from another pocket of his robe. "Here it is," he said.
"Now, let's see. Ihave squeezed blood out of turnips for you, and turnips out of blood. I have produced rabbits out of silk hats, and silk hats out of rabbits. I have conjured up flowers, tambourines and doves. I have brought you divining rods, magic wands, and crystal spheres in which to behold the future. I have compounded philtres, unguents, and potions, to cure heartbreak, surfeit, and ringing in the ears. I have made you my own special mixture of wolfbane, nightshade, and eagles' tears, to ward off witches, demons, and things that go bump in the night. I have given you seven league boots, the golden touch, and a cloak of invisibility-"

"It didn't work," said the king. "The cloak of invisibility didn't work.""Yes it did," said the Royal Wizard."No, it didn't," said the king. "I kept bumping into things, the same as ever."
"The cloak of invisibility is supposed to make you invisible," said the Royal Wizard. "It is not supposed to keep you from bumping into things.""All I know is, I kept bumping into things," said the king. The Royal Wizard looked at his list again. "I got you," he said, "horns from elfland, sand from the sandman, and gold from the rainbow. Also a spool of thread, a paper of needles, and a lump of beeswax - sorry, those are things my wife wrote down for me to get her."

"What I want you to do now," said the king, "is to get me the moon. Princess Lenore wants the moon, and when she gets it, she will be well again."
"Nobody can get the moon," said the Royal Wizard. "It is 150,000 miles away, and it is made of green cheese, and it is twice as big as the palace."The king flew into another rage and sent the Royal Wizard back to his cave.

Then he rang a gong and summonded the Royal Mathematician. The Royal Mathematician was a bald-headed, nearsighted man, with a skullcap on his head and a pencil behind each ear. He wore a black suit with white numbers on it.
"I don't want to hear a long list of all the things you have figured out for me since 1907," the king said to him. "I want you to figure out how to get the moon for princess Lenore. When she gets the moon, she will be well again." "I am glad you mentioned all the things I have figured out for you since 1907," said the Royal Mathematician. "It so happens I have a list of them with me."He pulled a long scroll of parchment out of a pocket and looked at it.

"I have figured out for you the distance between the horns of a dilemma, night and day, and A and Z. I have computed how far is up, how long it takes to get to away, and what becomes of gone. I have discovered the length of the sea serpent, the price of the priceless, and the square of the hippopotamus. I know where you are when you are at sixes and sevens, how much is you have to have to make an are, and how many birds you can catch with the salt in the ocean- 187,796,132, if it would interest you to know." "There aren't that many birds," said the king."I didn't say there were," said the Royal Mathematician. "I said if there were."

"I don't want to hear about seven hundred million imaginary birds," said the king. "I want you to get the moon for princess Lenore." "The moon is 300,000 miles away," said the Royal Mathematician. "It is round and flat like a coin, only it is made of asbestos, and it is half the size of this kingdom. Furthermore, it is pasted on the sky. Nobody can get the moon.

"The king flew into still another rage and sent the Royal Mathematician away. Then he rang for the court jester. The jester came bounding into the throne room in his motley and his cap and bells, and sat at the foot of the throne.
"What can I do for you, your majesty?" asked the court jester. "Nobody can do anything for me," said the king mournfully. "Princess Lenore wants the moon, and she cannot be well till she gets it, but nobody can get it for her. Every time I ask anybody for the moon, it gets larger and farther away. There is nothing you can do for me except play on your lute. Something sad."

"How big do they say it is," asked the court jester, "and how far away?""The Lord High Chamberlain says it is 35,000 miles away, and bigger than princess Lenore's room," said the king. "The Royal Wizard says it is 150,000 miles away, and twice as big as this palace. The Royal Mathematician says it is 300,000 miles away and half the size of this kingdom."

The court jester strummed on his lute for a little while. "They are all wise men," he said, "and so they must all be right. If they are all right, then the moon must be just as large and as far away as each person thinks it is. The thing to do is find out how big princess Lenore thinks it is, and how far away.""I never thought of that," said the king.

"I will go to her, your majesty," said the court jester. And he crept softly into the little girl's room.Princess Lenore was awake, and she was glad to see the court jester, but her face was very pale and her voice very weak."Have you brought the moon to me?" she asked. "Not yet," said the court jester, "but I will get it for you right away. How big do you think it is?""It is a little smaller than my thumbnail," she said, "for when I hold my thumbnail up at the moon, it covers it.""And how far away is it?" asked the court jester."It is not as high as the big tree outside my window," said the princess, "for sometimes it gets caught in the top branches.""It will be very easy to get the moon for you," said the court jester. "I will climb the tree tonight when it gets caught in the top branches and bring it to you."Then he thought of something else. "What is the moon made of, princess?" he asked."Oh, " she said, "it's made of gold, of course, silly."

The court jester left princess Lenore's room and went to see the Royal Goldsmith he had the Royal Goldsmith make a tiny round oon just a little smaller than the thumbnail of princess Lenore. Then he had him string it on a golden chain so the princess could wear it around her neck."What is this thing I have made?" asked the Royal Goldsmith when he was finished with it."You have made the moon," said the court jester. "that is the moon."

"But the moon," said the Royal Goldsmith, "is 500,000 miles away and is made of bronze and is round like a marble.""That's what you think," said the court jester as he went away with the moon.
The court jester took the moon to princess Lenore, and she was overjoyed. The next day she was well again and could get up and go out in the gardens to play.

But the king's worries were not yet over. He knew that the moon would shine in the sky again that night, and he did not want the princess Lenore to see it. If she did, she would know that the moon she wore on a chain around her neck was not the real moon.
So the king sent for the lord high chamberlain and said, "we must keep princess Lenore from seeing the moon when it shines in the sky tonight. Think of something."The Lord High chamberlain tapped his forehead with his fingers thoughtfully and said, "I know just the thing. We can make some dark glasses for the princess lenore. We can make them so dark that she will not be able to see the moon when it shines in the sky."This made the king very angry, and he shook his head from side to side. "If she wore dark glasses, she would bump into things," he said, "and then she would be ill again."
So he sent the Lord High Chamberlain away and called the Royal Wizard. "We must hide the moon," said the king, "so princess Lenore will not see it when it shines in the sky tonight. How are we going to do that?"The Royal Wizard stood on his hands and then he stood on his head and then he stood on his feet again. "I know what we can do," he said. "We can stretch some black velvet curtains on poles. The curtains will cover all the palace gardens like a circus tent, and the princess lenore will not be able to see through them, so she will not see the moon in the sky."The king was so angry at this that he waved his arms around. "Black velvet curtains would keep out the air," he said. "Princess Lenore would not be able to breathe, and she would be ill again."

So he sent the Royal Wizard away and summoned the Royal Mathematicain. "We must do something," said the king, "so princess Lenore will not see the moon when it shines in the sky tonight. If you know so much, figure out a way to do that."The Royal Mathematician walked around in a circle, and then he walked around in a square, and then he stood still. "I have it!" he said. "We can set off fireworks in the gardens every night. We will make a lot of silver fountains and gold cascades, and when they go off, they will fill the sky with so many sparks that it will be as light as day and princess Lenore will not be able to see the moon."The king flew into such a rage that he began jumping up and down. "Fireworks would keep princess Lenore awake," he said. "She would not get any sleep at all and she would be ill again."

So the king sent the Royal Mathematician away. When he looked up again, it was dark outside and he saw the bright rim of the moon just peeping over the horizon. He jumped up in a great fright and rang for the court jester. The court jester came bounding into the room and sat down at the foot of the throne.
"What can I do for you, your majesty?" he asked."Nobody can do anything for me," said the king, mournfully. "the moon is coming up again. It will shine into princess Lenore's bedroom, and she will know it is still in the sky and that she does not wear it on a golden chain around her neck. Play me something on your lute, something very sad, for when the princess sees the moon, she will be ill again.
"The court jester strummed on his lute. "What do your wise men say?" he asked."They can think of no way to hide the moon that will not make princess Lenore ill," said the king. The court jester played another song, very softly. "Your wise men know everything," he said, "and if they cannot hide the moon, then it cannot be hidden." The king put his head in his hands again and sighed. Suddenly he jumped from his throne and pointed to the windows. "Look!" he cried. "The moon is already shining in the princess Lenore's bedroom. Who can explain how the moon can be shining in the sky when it is hanging on a golden chain around her neck?"
The court jester stopped playing on his lute. "Who could explain how to get the moon when your wise men said it was too large and too far away? It was princess Lenore. Therefore princess Lenore is wiser than your wise men and knows more about the moon than they do. So I will ask her."
And before the king could stop him, the court jester slipped quietly out of the throne room and up the wide marble staircase to princess Lenore's bedroom. The princess was lying in bed, but she was wide awake and she was looking out the window at the moon shining in the sky. Shining in her had was the moon the court jester had got for her. He looked very sad, and there seemed to be tears in his eyes.
"Tell me, princess lenore," he said mournfully, "how can the moon be shining in the sky when it is hanging on a golden chain around your neck?"The princess looked at him and laughed. "that is easy, silly, " she said. "when I lose a tooth, a new one grows in its place, doesn't it?""Of course," said the court jester. "And when the unicorn loses his horn in the forest, a new one grows in the middle of his forehead.""That is right," said the princess. "And when the Royal Gardener cuts the flowers in the garden, other flowers come back to take their place." "I should have thought of that," said the court jester, "for it is the same way with the daylight.""And it is the same way with the moon," said princess Lenore. "I guess it is the same way with everything." Her voice became very low and faded away, and the court jester saw that she was asleep. Gently he tucked the covers around the sleeping princess. But before her left the room, he went over to the window and winked at the moon, for it seemed to the court jester that the moon had winked at him.

Abb To Tumhare Pass Hain Tumhare Sanam................

I wrote this one to a friend after her marriage, now im writting it here....

Abb to tumhare pass hain, tumhare sanam,
Khoye rahte the jinke khayalo mai tum har dum..

Pyara sa hai ye pyar tumhara,
Karte ho jismai tum dono basera...

Tumhare sanam bas tumko hi chahte rahen,
Bas tumhari fikar oh karte rahen....

Pyar aisa ho tumhara ki duniya dekhti rahe,
Tumhe sare jahan ki khusiyan milti rahen.....

Pyari si banana tum apne sapno ki duniya,
Mile jahan pe tumko sari khusiyan......

Pass tumhare mai aana chahti hun,
Tumhari khusiyon mai samil hona chahti hun.......

Maloom hai mujhe hum milenge ek din zarur,
Us din karlena tum sare gile sikwe dur........

Akhir mein itna mai chahti hun tumse,
kabhi delete na karna mujhe tum apne mind se.................

Humari Yaad Ki Nishani Apne Dil Mein Paoge.......

Tadap utthoge,

Jab hum tumko yaad ayenge,

Hume dhundoge,

Jab hum tumse dur jayenge...

Humari yaad ki nishani,

Apne dil mein paoge.....

Tumhari dhadkano mein chhipkar,

Hum muskurayenge...............

Ek Jhonke Se Bagon Ko Ujadte Dekha.............

Yahan har gum,har jajbat ko bikte dekha,
Gume dil, gume halat par mit te dekha,
Dekhliya itna ki koi tamanna na rahi,
Waqt padte hi apne saye ko simat te dekha.......

Koun kehta hai yahan riste banaye jate hain,
Yeh wah duniya hai, jahan riston ko bikhar te dekha,
Chand lamhon ko sabhi apne bante hain magar,
Sath rahne walon ko sath na marte dekha...............

Hum khusnaseev rahe, hume pyar to naseev raha,
Varna pyar ki duniya ko palko mein ujad te dekha,
Humne to kuchh der ki gulsan mein baharein dekhi,
Varna ek jhonke se bagon ko ujad te dekha...........................

Sathi..........

Na tum jeevansathi ho,na hi bachpan ke sathi,
Fir bhi najane tum ho itna apna kaise,
Tumhare aane ke baad mere jeevan mai,
Ruk gaya ankhose behta hua pani jaise..
Gam ka tej tufan bhi thahar gaya jaise...

Har ghadi tumhi logon mai ghiri rahti thi,
Rahna chahun to bhi rah na pati thi tanha jaise....

Sathi, sukriya tumhara, jo tumse mulaqat huee,
Bichhadne ke baad, sochti hun hogi meri duniya kaise.....

Ish janam mai to kabhi tumko bhula na paungi,
Tum bhula do,fir bhi tumko yaad rakhungi...

Tumhari tasveer pe padte hi ankh jaise bahne lage hain,
Likhna chahkar bhi hath thaharne lage hain.....

Tumse bichhadne ke baad, mujhe lagta hai,
Nur ke hote hue bhi, lagega hai andhera jaise.................

Dua hai meri:-
Mehndi si rache har tyohar tumhara,
Bichhjaye charon aur phoolon ka bochhara,
Hathon mai aajaye tumhari, indradhanus ki dor,
Titli ki tarah ud chalo, tum ek naye bhor ki aur.............................

A Date..............

Ever wondered a day when you wake up and you have no worries about going to office or attending any telecon....no worries about meeting a deadline for the project, no going for a weekly marketing, no grocery, no stroll with friends, no tete-e-tete with old mates, no phone calls to attend, no mails to check and absence of many similar "daily" chores which kept you busy since the day you knew your existence.

The only task that you have to do is to meet someone and explore him/her. Yes !! I am talking about a date............ A full-day date.

Now imagine that this date is slightly different than your normal dates with your boyfriend / girlfriend whom you can never know but only predict with high accuracy. So a date where queries like what will he/she be thinking, what is he/she thinking, and what was he/she thinking have no place.A date with a person whom you always knew. A date with a person closest to you. A date with a person who also knows you better. A date with yourself.....................

After traveling a lot of places in India with a fractured and confused mind, I was planning to invite myself someday for a date....I did all my homework before that...During all my trip I met many people from different strata of society, different professions, different goals, different lifestyles, and different attitudes.......... Even different differences.... Not only that I met them and tried to understand them, I did the entire counseling for myself with them.... The aim was to put forth the entire conclusion and list of questions to myself when I will date myself....

At the same time, especially in last few days, I also started interacting with myself to develop a contact so that when "we" date, it should not turn out to be a blind date.... After all, you must know the person before you ask him/her out....Yesterday I got this opportunity to invite myself on for a complete full-day date. A date where I will get a chance to spend time with myself, will learn about what are my interests, my hobbies, my priorities, my goals, my ambitions, my way of talking, my childhood, my teen, my youth, my prospective future.............. A date where I will sip a coffee with myself, will ask questions to myself and will seek answers.... A date where I will do what I like the most. A date where I will meet "the real me"....

The day when I dated myself. It was an unusual date. From morning till evening, dating myself and observing my traits............

I started the day with a cup of coffee and some general instruction from my brother before he went for work. I was "Home Alone" in a big house , and was wondering what I should do now. Should I check my mails and get confused with lots of things to do, or should I call my friends who lives nearby but I haven't met them from ages. Should I read an online newspaper or should I watch movie......

By the last sip of coffee, I realized that I may never get a full free day in coming future and the best way to utilize is to offer myself for a date ...to myself. Let me spend a day with myself. Let me do what I liked the most. Let me talk to myself. Let me observe myself. Let my mind take a back-seat and let my heart drive the day. Let me Know myself...........I put back the cup in the sink and moved back to the living room to start dating myself....

The first rule of the date is not to be over excited or anxious. You will mess up the things. Well begun; half done. To avoid any anxiety, I watched MTV for 15 minutes. I don't like watching MTV and other similar "crap". That's what I replied to myself. Bingo !!!!! The conversation has started. I like watching comparatively serious stuff. Something intellectual. Something with depth. Some meaning..... I simply can't stand stand-ups, music videos, traditional 'bollywood' , soap operas etc....I switched the channel to NDTV 24 X 7, something better......

Once the anxiety is over, conversation should delve deeper into interests. Look into the eyes of your date and ask what he/she likes to do that makes him/her happy. An honest answer came suddenly, I love cooking.....Well it's not the only answer... There are 100s of me in myself, someday someone takes precedence, someday someone else..... But the maximum me's compose who am I.... So most of them liked cooking....I planned to cook dinner for tonight.....

My obvious next question to myself was why do I like cooking???? And the answer came almost instantaneously I love perfect dining......Good Food served in a good style.

What should I do in the meantime? Explore next trait of myself. What interests me more than cooking, I asked myself. And in a blink of eyes, "let's enjoy nature in all its forms".Music in the form of kishore & lata, weather in the form of snow, taste in the form of tea, philosophical books in form of reading and smile in the form of peace.......I was all set to explore myself................

Well to some extent, this is the next step of dating. Romance. I was having romance with myself. Who said you need person of opposite sex to romance. Romance is a state of mind, a feeling which can only be felt. I was romantic at that moment.

I switched music from light songs to instrumental and started tapping foot.... Slowly I moved to dancing.... Dancing all alone in the room .. Dancing sensuosly with myself..... Yes !! I was having gala time with myself...this feeling was entirely different.....To me it seems as the best date ever..... A date lacking mind games.....A date so relaxed... A date so sensuous... A perfect date... A date with myself.............

To take this romance to more heights I slowed the music, sat on the bed, opened an inspirational ("non-technical") book and sipped tea while reading it... An incredible experience to me. ..I realized that I don't even remember when was the last time I read such books.... Topics that have always fascinated me....Topics that always keeps my mind active....Topics that make me feel "out of crowd" in my own eyes....I realized that I lost touching the ground way long back in the mad rush and rat race of ambitions and "proving myself".... These things are the "stuff" that I always wanted to do but never did. Why ???

No replies.

Did I ever want to be an engineer? or Software developper??? Did I never want to be a writer or a poet or a chef or an artist??

No replies.

What is the measure of success? Money? Power ? Recognition ? Doing great job in your own eyes ? Appreciation for your work ????

No replies.

It was not that I had no replies to these queries. In fact I never had a satisfying reply.

I asked many questions to myself today. Many questions which made me explore me better.

What are my goals ? and why are they so important to me ? How is my past affecting my present and future ? Am I really controlling my life??

It may sound philosophical but to me it was a great experience. I was enjoying every bit of confusion. I was enjoying restlessness......

I did many things today which I always wanted to do but never got time for one or other reason.I did paint a cartoon.....I did take some photographs. I did experiment at cooking. I did listen some ghazals. Read some books. Watched some talks. Read newspaper and magazine.....

I enjoyed the day as if there will be no tomorrow. I will never get a chance to be with myself again........

In the evening, I went with my brother to some mall. Had some interesting stimulating talks with him......

I feel that this was the best day so far in my life when I dated myself. I had romance with myself. By the end, I almost fell in love with myself. Me, who is hidden behind thick technical books, jargonized talks, fake ambitions and pseudo image.......

By the end of date I was sure that I have a very beautiful mind and a lovely heart...

One mistake in dating is that people dont turn back to call their date at night after the date. This is an important rule. If you want to date again, call him/her up for a small talk. Maybe before you sleep. Or at least drop an SMS. Just talk as how your day went. Whether he/she enjoyed. If he/she is looking forward or not to more such dates etc.

I want to date myself often so I am not going to do this mistake.................

It's 12.10 in the night, I am blogging A date with myself.

The Dog.......

A butcher watching over his shop is really surprised when he saw a dog coming inside the shop. He shoos him away.

But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices he has a note in his mouth. He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please. The dog has money in his mouth, as well."The butcher looks inside and, lo and behold, there is a ten dollar Note there. So he takes the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth. The butcher is so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut up shop and follow the dog.

So off he goes. The dog is walking down the street when he comes To a level crossing.
The dog puts down the bag, jumps up and presses the button. Then he waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and he walks across the road, with the butcher following him all the way.

The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable. The butcher is in awe at this stage. The dog checks out the times, and then sits on one of the seats provided. Along comes a bus. The dog walks around to the front, looks at the number, and goes back to his seat.
Another bus comes. Again the dog goes and looks at the number, notices it's the right bus, and climbs on. The butcher, by now, open-mouthed, follows him onto the bus.The bus travels through the town and out into the suburbs, the dog Looking at the scenery. Eventually he gets up, and moves to the front of the bus. He stands on 2 back paws and pushes the button to stop the bus. Then he gets off, his groceries still in his mouth. Well, dog and butcher are walking along the road, and then the dog turns into a house. He walks up the path, and drops the groceries on the step.

Then he walks back down the path, takes a big run, and throws himself against the door. He goes back down the path, runs up to the door and again, it throws himself against it. There's no answer at the house, so the dog goes back down the path, jumps up on a narrow wall, and walks along the perimeter of the garden. He gets to the window, and beats his head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door.

The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher runs up, and stops the guy. "What in heaven's name are You doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!" to which the guy responds: "You call this clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

Reflection: Looks like some, people will never be satisfied with what they've got.

When it comes to the work place, Employers do not know how to appreciate their people who have served them loyally through the years. I've seen companies lose good people for the simple fact their leaders failed to show appreciation. Employers with big egos enjoy the fact that they have more power and authority than others. They show, in the way they give orders and directions, that they think they are superior. They get a kick out of displaying this superiority. People who do this are fools, and everyone but them knows it. They are never satisfied because they could not be satisfied even if their people perform well. They don't listen to the opinion and ideas of their subordinates. Why? Because of their stupid pride and insecurity.

People of this kind will never be satisfied. Why? Because they are so busy wrapped up in themselves and, fact is, the self can never be satisfied. Happy and productive people are always those who are "others-centered" rather than "self- centered." The greatest idea of leadership is not someone who throws his weight around. Rather, he is a servant. As Bible would say, "He who wish to be a leader should first be a servant." His joy is derived from delivering a job that others benefit from his contribution. Aim for service and success will follow.

Unke liye is dilse ab bhi sirf duayein hi nikalti hein......

Bewafai se hi to wafa ki ehmiyat ka pata chalta hey,
Ruswai se hi to mohabbat ki ehmiyat ka pata chalta hey...

Kya baddua dun unko jinhoney in baton ka muje ehsaas karaya hey,
Hum to jee rahey they khawabon may, unhoney hakkikat se samna karaya hey......

Ki is khudgerz zamaney may mohabbat bhi sarey aam bika karti hey,
Khudgerzi kabhi dost banker, to kabhi mohabbat ke roop may dikha karti hey...........

Bhula to dun unko, per reh reh ke yaadein laharon ki tarah machalti hein,
Aur unke liye is dilse ab bhi sirf duayein hi nikalti hein...........................

kabhi insan ke sath aisa bhi hota hai.......

Jaante ho,
kabhi insan ke sath aisa bhi hota hai, jaise thahre pani main koyi patthar fainkta hai to us main lehron ka ek dayra banta hai, aur jaise jaise waqt guzarta hai woh dayra bada hota jata hai aur akhir ek waqt ata hai ke woh sahil par khatam ho jata hai..

Jante ho woh thahra pani kya hai ??
Woh duniya hai, aur insan woh patthar hai, jo is duniya main doob jata hai..
Aur jante ho woh lehrein kya hain?
Woh lehrein waqt hai, jo kisi ke liye nahi rukta woh chalta rehta hai aur baar baar insan ko awaz deta hai. Lekin insan waqt se nawakif ho kar us par gor nahi karta...

Magar waqt awaz deta hi rehta hai, aur ek waqt aata hai ke waqt ke paas waqt ke liye waqt khatam ho jata hai.. Tab insan ko pata chalta hai ke waqt to usay peeche chhod gaya...........

Magar meri nazar main kamyab insan woh hai, jo waqt se bhi do pal aage chale..

Meri dua hai ke mera har dost waqt se do pal aage chale, aur apni manzil ko chhunle...............................

Mujhe apne dil ka mehman kaho.....

Mujhe chand kaho, chandni kaho, jaan kaho,
Mujhe apne dil ka mehman kaho..

Mujhe dekho har lamha yunhi,
Mujhe tum apni pehchan kaho...

Mai puri karu tumhari har khwahish,
Mujhe tum apna maan kaho....

Har haal mai tum mujh ko hi socho,
Mujh se dil ka har armaan kaho.....

Har lamha tum ko hi chahu mai,
Mujhe pyar mein tum apni shaan kaho......

Mere dil ki dharti tumhari hi hai,
Us ko zameen kaho, aasman kaho.......

Sab karte hain batein tumhari,
Har arzoo ko meri zuban se kaho........

Tumhari dunia mai khoyi rahti hun,
Mujhe mast kaho, anjan kaho.........

Rakhoon door har gum ko tum se,
Mujhe dost kaho, negebaan kaho..........

Bheek pyar ki apni de do,
Chahey fakir kaho, begum kaho.............

Haste Haste guzarna hai har pal,har lamha......

Haste Haste guzarna hai har pal,har lamha,
Har baar jo ladkhadaye, humein aata hai sambhalna......

Yahi hai mera junoon ki,meri khushi ki dhoop mein na pade koi purchayi,
Bas yeh gum humse kabhi na jeet paye,
Kabhi na ghere in kale baadlon ke saye.............

Ik haqeeqat hai aur ik bas khwab hai......

Yaad aata hai mujhe bachpan mera,
Ek parinda dost tha bas jab mera,
Sang uske udna chaha seekhna,
Par parinda hans diya, aur ud gaya..

Dost meri ek titli bhi to thi,
Jiske rangon ki rahi hasrat mujhe,
Khushboo ka uska safar chahat meri,
Par vo titli muskurai aur ud gayi....

Meri muththi me bahut se juganu bhi the,
Maine socha zindegi roshan karun,
Par jo kholi muththi saare ud gaye........
Meri duniya bas andheri hi rahi,

Ek chidiya roz gana gati thi,
Har subah khidki pe meri rahti thi,
Mein vo gana seekhna bhi chahti thi,
Par meri aawaz us jaisi na thi.............

Chahaten poori nahi ho paati hain,
Jaana us din maine tanha baith kar,
Zindegi hai aur, chahat aur hai,
Ik haqeeqat hai, aur ik bas khwab hai................

Sochti Hu Kya Likhu ?

Pholoon Ki Wo Mehakti Khushboo,
Barish Ka Woh Bheega Pani,
Aur Hawa Mein Thi Jo Rawani,
Kya Uss Mousam Ka Khumaar Likhu?

Kuch Likhna Chahati Hu,
Sochti Hu Kya Likhu?

Thi Chehre Par Unke Masumiyat,
Aankhoon Mein Thi Thodi Shararat,
Aur Baatoon Mein Wo Nazakat,
Kya Unka Rangeen Mizaaj Likhu?

Kuch Likhna chahati Hu,
Sochti Hu Kya Likhu?

Unka Aaker Muskurana,
Jo Rooth Jau, To Manana,
Jate Jate Phir Rulana,
Kya Unka Yeh Andaaz Likhu?

Kuch Likhna Chahati Hu,
Sochti Hu Kya Likhu?

Yaadoon Mein Unkey,Ashk Bahana,
Her Shaam Ek Diya Jalana,
Soi Umeed Ko Roz Jagana,
Kya Unka Yeh Intezar Likhu?

Kuch Likhna Chahati Hu,
Sochti Hu Kya Likhu?............

No more disk space(By some friend)....

Kal jab mile the,
To dil mein hua ek sound,
Aur aaj mile to kehte hain,
Your file not found!..

Jo muddat se hota aaya hai,
Woh repeat kar doonga,
Tu naa mili to,
Apni zindagi ctrl+alt+delete kar doonga...

Shayad mere pyar ko,
Taste karna bhool gaye,
Dil sey aisa cut kiya,
Ke paste karna bhool gaye.....

Laakhon honge nigaah mein,
Kabhi mujhe bhi pick karo,
Mere pyaar ke icon pe,
Kabhi to double-click karo.......

Roz subha hum karte hain,
Pyar se unhe good morning,
Woh aise ghoor ke dekti hain,
Jaise 0 errors aur 5 warning........

Aisa bhi nahin hai ke,
I don't like your face,
Par dil ke storage mein,
No more disk space..................

Chand bhi tanha hai, Meri tarah.........

Chand bhi tanha hai, Meri tarah,
Is virani raat mein, Qatil ki tarah...

Ankho mein neend nahi Aati,
Bistar par parhi hoon, Kafir ki tarah....

So gaya jag sara,
Phir bhi jaag rahi hoon, Saki ki tarah.....

Dil ki Dhadkane, Badhne lagi hai,
Kahin tadapkar na toot jaye, Ghungroo ki tarah......

Kitni mushkil hai zindgi,
Phir bhi kat jayegi, Jugnoo ki tarah.......

Manzil jitni door hai,
Chahat bhi adhoori hai, Armano ki tarah........

Jitna khudko samjha maine,
Tanha thi, Tanha reh gayi, Khawish ki tarah.................

Finding Patience....

Once a lady was frantically juggling between preparing chili chicken, so her family can have dinner ready after her son's badminton game (during which she had to leave to pick up her husband from work since they have only one car to come home.. and rush everyone to bed in order to meet a work deadline that she didn't finish in the office).....

when she asked her 4 year old son, Mihir, for the 17th time 'Where is your other shoe?' He looks at her and screams back 'I dunno, you had it last'.

It was 5:25 and she was supposed to be at the office of her husband at 5:30 (they live 15 minutes away).......

She couldn't find Mihir's shoe and to top it off, a fight broke out between her oldest son Kunal(8) and daughter ria(5), something about a piece of paper.... Anyway, she screamed at them: "All of you, go to your rooms until I find Mihir's other shoe! I've completely lost my patience with all of you!"............

At that point, Mihir looks at her and says : "Don't worry Mommy, after you help me find my shoe, we'll help you find your patience".............

At that point, the lady inhaled one of those deep 'focus on your breath' type breaths and gave him a big hug 'cause all was good after that!God bless children for being so wise...........

Freedom

Every time I look at myself and think on how much I've gone through, I still hardly believe that I have become the strong person that I am now................

The biggest factor I'd like to consider is my relationship with my parents. I learned to stand on my own, make decisions on my own because they let me do it. This started in my high school years when I'd always to ask permission to go out with friends. My parennts would usually prohibit me, which I found it very disappointing......

But I found solution from my parents then. I would ask their permission and promise them to be back at a designated time, which I did exactly. And things went on between us. I would confide things to them.......my dreams and aspirations, where I want to go and what I want to do.

Even my teenage crushes and love letters given by friends. They would always listen ready to give support. They never scolded me for things I’ve told. I felt how much they appreciated my trust to them................

This gave me so much confidence and encouragement to realize my dreams. I feel good to be free and independent because my parents allowed me to be. Now I pass on the good attitude I got from my parents..........

Most Important Part of the Body....

My mother used to ask me what is the most important part of the body. Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, "My ears, Mommy." She said, "No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon."

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer. So this time I told her, "Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes." She looked at me and told me, "You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind." Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years, Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, "No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child."

Then atlast, when my grandpa died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember that especially because it was the first time I saw him cry. My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final goodbye to Grandpa.

She asked me, "Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?" I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me. She saw the confusion on my face and told me, "This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in our life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson." She looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said, "My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder." I asked, "Is it because it holds up my head?" She replied, "No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life, my dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."

Then and there I knew the most important body part is not a selfish one . It is sympathetic to the pain of others. People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel.........

Have lunch with God........bring chips.

A little boy wanted to meet God.He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a bag of potatochips and a six-bottle of milk and started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks,he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his milk bottle, when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her some chips.
She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a bottle of milk. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As evening approached, the boy realized, how tired he was and he got upto leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him,"What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked,"Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?" She replied,"I ate potato chips in the park with God."However, before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word,a listening ear, an honest compliment,or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!Have lunch with God........bring chips..............
